TCOF was modified with carboxy-quinoline in its pores as growth sites for gold NCs. Construction of an Au@COF photocatalyst is facilitated by COF–O–Au bonding bridges, resulting in increased charge-separation efficiency and excellent photocatalytic H2O2 production under simulated solar irradiation.
