Enhanced oxidative and adsorptive removal of arsenite by the heterogeneous interfacial reaction of sulfidated nanoscale zerovalent iron

Environ. Sci.: Nano, 2023, 10,2646-2657
DOI: 10.1039/D3EN00271C, Paper
Jing Liu, Siming Yang, Airong Liu, Qing Huang, Wei-xian Zhang, Shizhong Wang, Qianfen Xiao
After sulfidation, sulfur is doped into the iron core, endowing S-nZVI with lower corrosion, stronger adsorption and interfacial oxidation of As(III). Arsenic atoms diffuse the inner area and form arsenic sulfide stabilizing in the S-nZVI core.
